Movement on the monitor drew Rene’s attention. Quinn had just walked into the master bedroom after getting Danny settled in for the night. He opened a dresser drawer, pulled out clean pajamas, and then carried them to the bed. The night before, he’d made it that far before remembering the camera above his door. She waited for the light bulb to go off in his head, but he lifted his shirt and tossed it aside. Guilt nipped at her gut as she watched him release his belt and unfasten the button on his jeans. Sitting back at the desk in the loft, she let out a slow breath as he continued to undress.

Look away, she told herself. But of course, she didn’t. Couldn’t. She watched Quinn push his pants down, tug his socks off, and then slide into a pair of sweatpants and a clean T-shirt. This is only fair, she decided, since he’d stared at her when she was half dressed as if he’d never seen a pair of boobs before. She smiled as she recalled the blush on his cheeks when she called him out on his behavior. Even if her little peep show had been earned, since he didn’t exactly know she was watching him, she took one last look at the monitor and planned to look away and let him finish whatever it was he was going to do in relative privacy…at least without a thirsty pair of eyes drinking in his lean thighs and the tight cords of his back.

Rene was just about to spin her chair and look away when her breath caught. Quinn turned with the slightest bit of a smirk on his face as he glanced—just for a split second—right into the camera. He knew exactly what he’d done. He’d given Rene a little show. On purpose.

“Fucking men,” she muttered, a grin taking over her face. As he walked past her in the loft, Rene pretended to occupy herself in some notes, but she couldn’t avoid seeing the tiny bow Quinn gave her.

“Let me know if you need an encore performance sometime,” Quinn said softly.

Rene raised her brow and shook her head at him and then went back to her notes. As she listened to him moving around downstairs, she forced her eyes to stay on the relationship tree.

“Give me something,” she whispered, moving her sticky notes around.

“Probably not what you are asking the tablet for, but I do have chips and salsa.”

Quinn stood at the entry to the loft in his bare feet holding a tray of snacks. He lifted it a bit higher as if to show her his offering. One bowl, a bag of chips, and two glasses of water.

“No coffee?” she asked with a smirk.

He grinned as he walked to the desk. “I will not contribute to the deterioration of your stomach lining. Anything you want to share?”

“Maybe.” She leaned over to get a better look at the salsa. “I got mild, right?”

“I think so. I didn’t check. You don’t like spicy?”

“I love spicy,” she said reaching into the bag of chips.
